Ellie and Lion is a Swedish all-season organic clothing brand for babies and toddlers. The minimalist, functional and sustainable designs are made from the softest organic cotton, featuring unique animal motifs and animal-inspired prints. They don’t feel the need to follow fashion seasons or trends - they create comfortable, unisex pieces that are made to last, are kind to your child's skin, and to our planet. DESIGN philosophy
Unique animal motifs are drawn by hand before being digitalised, to create a clean, contemporary effect. This emphasises the animal's true characteristics, yet keeps them minimalist, making them as cool as they are cute.
Ellie and Lions growing animal kingdom has become loved by the style-conscious parent just as much as their child. All of the animal motifs and print patterns are designed exclusively for Ellie and Lion.
With functionality a focus, the clothing is designed for easy changing without sacrificing style. The organic playsuits and baby sleepsuits feature a unique 's' shaped two-way zipper design that makes changing quick and easy. The result is a kids clothing range that is minimal and functional in design, with options for your child to wear all year round.
fabric AND sustainability
Ellie and Lion believe they are responsible as a children's clothing brand, to limit their footprint on the planet in every way they can.
All their packaging from the production house through to the consumer is now compostable or re-usable. To further reduce waste, some of their designs are made from left-over organic fabric stocked in their production house.
They believe that everyone can make a difference if we are more conscious of how, and what we consume.
To ensure they produce the most eco-friendly clothing, they only use the highest quality GOTS certified cotton and dyes within their production house in India which is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standard) and meet high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain in the quality of the fabric and dyes, and also fair trade for its employees in the workplace.
GOTS is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres.
With all that in mind, you can be assured that when your little one wears Ellie and Lion, the clothing is not only kind to your child's skin, but to the planet as well.
